Vision Charter School wants to help keep the Caldwell Center for the Arts alive!
Come join us for a Community Cultural Celebration Open House at The Center for the Arts on Friday, February 29th! The Celebration runs from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm with cultural entertainment throughout the evening. Find out what the Center for the Arts has to offer in bringing more dance, visual arts, theatre and other arts education opportunities and events to our communities. Enjoy cultural art exhibits by our students and entertainment by local performing groups including Ballet Folklorio, Basque Dancers and Irish Step Dancers. Marcine Quenzer, a Native American Storytelling Artist will exhibit her artwork and tell stories. Our students have been working on some amazing projects they are eager to display as well as music and dance presentations they are practicing with Mrs. Ellis.

Vision Charter has invited the public to come and support the Center for the Arts. The Center must show they are a valuable resource in our community within the next several months in order to keep their land. Mrs. Wafwa's sixth grade class from Vision Charter School has distributed donation cans around the community and the Center for the Arts. Area Girl Scout troops will be showing off their cultural projects as well. If you cannot make it to the Celebration but would like to support The Center for the Arts, you can drop by or mail your donation to 603 Everett, Caldwell 83605. All businesses making a donation prior to the Cultural Celebration will have their name publicized on the Vision Charter School website, the Caldwell Center for the Arts website and on a large banner during the Cultural Celebration. A great community deserves great art and all proceeds will go towards keeping The Center for the Arts alive!

We are pleased with the success of our "Master of the Month" program in promoting arts in education. For January, in honor of Martin Luther King and in preparation for Vision Charter's Culture Night, students will participate in a "Cultural Meanagerie", (each grade will learn about different cultural art and prepare projects for display at our school celebration). Culture Night will take place February 29th; more information will be forthcoming. If you have artifacts, pictures, etc. you could share with our students in the area they are studying, please contact the appropriate teacher:
