2/3: Science Update (B day)

Biology:  Research proposals were due today.  All other components of project are due on Tuesday (2/7), check your judging rubric and portfolio checklist to make sure you have all components completed.  On Wednesday we will announce the two winning teams whose projects we will send to USC Wrigley institute for final judging.  This is your only homework so make sure that you complete the project and finish strong.

2/2: Science Update (A day)

Anatomy & Physiology: Today we reviewed Neurological Case Study #2, we also introduced the final case study (case #3 see attached below) for the nervous system which will be due this Monday. Students should continue working on Case Study #3, projects for Science night, and also prepare for the test next week over the nervous system (2/9).

2/1: Science Update (A day)

Anatomy & Physiology:  Today students finished case study #2 dealing with the nervous system, answers need to be typed and turned in tomorrow at the beginning of class.  Students also had the opportunity to work on their presentations for the science night or use their study guide to prepare for Thursday's test (2/9).

1/31: Science Update (B day)

Biology:  Today we worked on our QuikScience Challenge, clarified questions regarding the research proposal that is due this Friday, reviewed items that need to be included in the Portfolio portion of the project, and reminded groups of how they will be graded on this project.  Research proposals are due this Friday, remaining items to be included in the portfolio are due next week (no later than Wednesday).

1/30: Science Update (A day)

Anatomy & Physiology:  Today students work on Case Study #2 for the Nervous system and worked with their partners on project for the Science Night.  Students need to have their typed answers to case study #2 turned in by this Thurs.  Students also need to continue studying their Nervous System notes and prepare for upcoming exam a week from this Thurs (2/9).  Don't forget to finish up those coloring sheets as well.

Anatomy & Physiology: Today students took the quiz again over regions of the brain and their functions.  Students also did a presentation on their assigned case study and then started case study #2 for the nervous system.  Students should finish case study for homework and study their notes in addition to finishing their nervous system coloring sheets.

1/25: Science Update (B day)

Biology:  Today students finished their presentations and worked on their QuikScience Challenge.  Research proposals and all other parts of the portfolio are coming due real soon.  See attached rubric and checklist for judging and portfolio requirements.

Anatomy & Physiology:  We attempted quiz over regions of the brain and their functions today.  Students will have an opportunity to re-take the quiz this coming Thursday so please study using the website I gave you.  Students were also assigned a case study today and they will present their research on Thursday in class. Don't forget to continue studying your notes and finish nervous system coloring sheets.
