Spanish and Art update

In art we are drawing outside all week depending on the weather. Students need to bring a hat or sunscreen to protect them. If the weather changes we will be working on our landscape from a photograph as well as finishing glazing.

Spanish we will be working on Piñatas all week!

Art update

We are starting on our unit in Landscape drawings/ paintings

Today we learned about atmospheric perspective and students have an assignment to create a drawing that includes all four elements of atmospheric perspective. All of the drawings in this unit are included in the sketchbook that we created last Tuesday. Students are welcome to take the sketchbooks home so long as they remember to bring them back every B day. They will turn in the sketchbook at the end of the unit.

Spanish Update

In Spanish we have been working hard on starting to form simple sentences. Students have been learning a lot about the parts of language and the difference between structuring a sentence in English and structuring a sentence in Spanish.

We will be having a vocabulary quiz every Friday from now until the spring break so make sure that you are studying your vocabulary words! This is all from the vocabulary that you taught as groups during the beginning of the quarter. This week’s quiz is on food, next week’s will be on sports.
