Newsletter 01-21-18

Please remember to have your child return his/her Weekly Reading Log tomorrow.  A new one for this week will be sent home tomorrow as well.  This Reading Log is for a grade for report cards.

Your child will also bring home his/her weekly Home Fluency Reading Folder tomorrow.  The instructions are included inside this folder.

Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held Friday, January 26th from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.  Not all students will require a Parent/Teacher Conference at this time.  However if any parents would like to meet with me, I would be happy to schedule a conference time.  You will be notified if I feel I would like to conference about your child.   Therefore, there will be no school for kids on this day.

Spelling Test will be given on Tuesday, January 23rd.        #14

This is the FASTEST WAY to be notified about school closures or late starts. Sign up for how you want to be contacted in an emergency through the parent portal. If you have not yet set this up, please contact Mrs. Bowers at amybowers@visioncsd.org for directions on setting up your parent portal account.  We will also send out information via this newsletter and Vision Charter facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/VisionCharter/. Updates will also be sent to KTVB channel 7 and KBOI channel 2.

In the event of a one hour late start, all stops will be exactly one hour later. In the event of a two hour late start, all bus stops will be exactly two hours later. In the event of a late start students will have a shortened schedule; however, they will still attend all of their regular classes and the end of the day release time and bus stops times will remain the same.

******Your child brought home a Snow Day packet before Christmas break.   I will email parents the work expectations IF we have any snow days.  Please put this packet in a safe place where your child can find it if necessary.
