Home Folders

Your child’s Home Folder needs to be taken home every evening and returned every school day.  Please help your child become responsible for this. The students have to pay $5 rent on a Borrowed Home Folder each time they forget their own folder.

IXL

Please help your child remember that they have 40 minutes of IXL homework due each week.  You child knows how to check their weekly and quarterly minutes.  I give a report card grade at the end of each quarter by figuring a percentage of time the students should have practiced IXL during that quarter.  Your child has 360 minutes this quarter beginning 1-14-12 through 3-16-12. You will see weekly progress on the assignment sheets that come home on Mondays with the corrected tests.

IdahoHistory

The county test for counties 1 – 16 will be on Tuesday.  Your child will begin studying counties through 20 after that.  We will continue to study Lewis and Clark.

Native American Trioramas *

The students will be researching a famous Native American.  The research will be a home project, but the triorama will be completed at school.  A  research packet will come home this week.  The research packet will be due on February 13th. The packet is a graded assignment.

Testing

Due to the Space Shuttle missions last week, Monday (1-30) will be the test day for math, spelling, and Spalding test.  The results will come home no later than Wednesday.  This week’s pre-test for the spelling words tested on Friday 2-3-12 will also be Monday (1-30).
