NEW SCHOOL BUILDING!

I am eager to show all of you the design plans created by the Architect and Engineer team of Ruby Edwards and Patono/Haferman. The team spent time gathering information from our board, staff, students and parents at the recent meetings held at CofI. I am attaching the first draft of the plans for the school and renderings. Please come into the front office at Vision to see the full size plans and renderings of the front of the school and interior shots. I love the design of the school with the green house, amazing science lab, gym, auditorium, art room and everything we dreamed about for our school!

The school will be located on 9 acres on the corner of Marble Front and KCID road. The board anticipates being able to open the new school doors in the fall of 2011 or 2012 at the latest.

The good news is that we are purchasing an additional lot right next to the school and placing another portable on it to accommodate growth over the next few years.

Please feel free to e-mail me at wendyroldenkamp@msn.com if you have additional questions regarding the school building.

Middle School/High School Informational Meeting

I was so pleased with the number of parents and students who came to the Middle School and High School informational meeting last Friday night. Students were able to see the new school, meet the two new additions to the MS/HS staff, and register for their child’s classes.

In the event that you and your child were unable to attend the meetings, please plan to attend one of the informational meetings on April 1st in D1. The first session will be from 5-5:45 and the second session will be from 6-6:45. This will be your opportunity to register your child for their classes, select electives, and have any of your questions answered regarding the MS/HS schedule.

I look forward to seeing you on Wednesday, April 1st for one of the MS/HS informational sessions!
