Third grade participated in a very exciting activity today! We have been discussing the Digestive System. Today students used measurement to find the length of their digestive system. They were amazed to see how long their small intestine and large intestine are! Ask your student to describe the different organs and their jobs in the digestive process.
Thursday, November 17th will be our last Center Day before January! I appreciate any help I can get. We begin centers at 8:25 a.m. and continue until 9:50. We resume 10:15 to 10:35 and then finish 11:30 to 12:30, breaking for lunch from 10:35 to 11:30. All help is welcome, even if you can only come for part of the time. These centers are much more meaningful academically for our students when there is an adult to monitor their work. We have had very successful Center Days so far this year. I have been so pleased with the volunteer help that has been offered! Thank you to all who have helped.
On Friday, November 18th, we are having a ‘mini-feast’ for Thanksgiving. We are making cornbread and butter. We will make the cornbread ‘hoe cakes’ and butter before our Music class and will eat them during lunch. Please let me know if your child has any kind of corn or milk allergies.
