Art Update

In art we have been finishing up our pinch pots and slab vase projects.  They are both due this Friday, however, if you were absent you have till next Friday to finish and get them in. It will be about two weeks before they can be fired and then we will be glazing them in class.

In art we finished up the principles of design. (Balance: symmetrical/asymmetrical/radial, movement, emphasis or focal point, contrast or opposites, repetition or pattern, Unity, and Variety. Students are working on eight mini drawings that represent each one of the principles. The drawings are due at the end of class next Tuesday, September 6th along with the shoe sketch assignments. 

Friday 26 Update

New Sketch assingment - Due Tuesday 6th of September
Sketch a shoe, any type- the sketch must have a full range of value 1-5 (black to white)

This week we have been learning about the elements of art and principals of design. The syllabus is due this week, if you haven't already turned it in, please do so by Friday. Also don't forget that sketches are due Friday.

Castor: Study of Lines--Please take a look

We worked on these last Friday, and they turned out wonderfully.  We have been studying "line" in art, and each of my students did a great job at being creative and imaginative.  I hope you enjoy your child's work and the work of the other students as well.
