Lisa Decker (formerly Lisa Lords) loves working at Vision Charter School as a Third Grade Teacher. She loves her career as an educator and is continually reading and learning to become better at her craft. Her goal as a teacher is to have a safe, inviting classroom that challenges students to reach their full academic potential. She strives to make learning fun and creative to inspire her students to become lifelong learners. Lisa graduated from Brigham Young University with a B.A. in Early Childhood Education. Since graduating from college, she has continued to broaden her educational experiences and has taken classes to enrich her classroom and benefit students. Before coming to Vision Charter School, Lisa taught First and Third grades in other Idaho school districts, but feels she has “come home” and is truly blessed to be among the wonderful staff at Vision. Lisa has four children. Amy, an LPN, who has two wonderful sons, Brian, 7 and Aiden, 3; Jay Tyler, 25, who works full-time and helps coach Junior Varsity football at Centennial High School in Meridian; DeeAnna, 22, who recently married Tim, her high school sweetheart and is in the nursing program at BYU Idaho; Ashlie, 19, who is working full time and considering her future educational options. When she is not spending time in her classroom, Lisa enjoys reading, listening to music, reading, traveling, reading, and spending time with her family. She also enjoys concerts, plays, movies, playing Chess, taking long walks, and watching sporting events. Contact Ms.Decker
