Thank you for your interest in Driver's Education! Vision Charter does NOT offer a Driver's Education course. Students have 2 options for taking Driver's Education:

• Register through the ELEVATE (if spots are available):
  • If you register with the ELEVATE the student can use Fast Forward (Advanced Opportunity) funds. Proof of payment (current fee is $225) is required to be submitted at the time of payment to Elevate to Amy Bowers in Vision Charter School's main office at the beginning of class or after the parent meeting. Upon completion of the class, and a passing grade from ELEVATE a high school credit will be granted by Vision Charter School. If the student receives a failing grade or withdraws from the class, the student will need to pay $225 before accessing Fast Forward funds in the future.  **Submission of payment at the end of class may not be refundable and is not guaranteed to be refunded through the Fast Forward program or Vision Charter School.**
• Students can register to take the written course through IDLA ($75) and take the driver's training through a private instructor (prices vary). The cost of the IDLA class and driver training must be paid for by the student out of pocket. Make checks out for the IDLA class payable to Vision Charter School. Fast Forward/ADVANCED OPPORTUNITY funds CANNOT be used for this option.

The student will need to choose which option they will be taking to complete Driver's Education. Once this is done, and BEFORE going to the DMV to obtain a permit, a Verification of Compliance (VOC) statement will need to be obtained from the Vision Charter School main office. Email Amy Bowers at [email protected] in advance if possible so that you do not have to wait as long for the VOC to be created. The VOC is NOT able to be sent electronically as it must have an official stamp on it.
