Vision Charter School in Caldwell is hiring one full time classified staff member to work in our K-12th grade office for 2023-24 school year. This position will be on campus focusing on data entry and customer service. Start date is August 1, 2023.
The successful candidate must have a high school diploma. We are looking for an applicant with evidence of job experience highlighting strong data entry skills, attention to detail, and excellent customer service.
Starting pay is $14 an hour with no experience. Pay range $14-$16 an hour DOE and education/experience. On-job training will be provided.
This position will have a minimum of 152 calendar days per year with the potential of up to 170 calendar days depending on the availability of the successful candidate. The job is typically four days a week throughout the school year with one five day week. The position will start a few weeks before school starts (August 1, 2023) and extend into June depending upon the successful candidates availability, to be negotiated.

This position comes with eligibility for PERSI retirement, health insurance, 20k life insurance, and is eligible for founding family status. This position comes with one paid sick day a month up to ten days per school year.

Hours: 7:45-4:15 with two fifteen minute breaks and a thirty minute unpaid lunch.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY TO
Charter Administrator/6th-12th Principal
JOB SUMMARY
Data entry and other duties in support of the administration and counseling department; provide information about the school leading to the enrollment of students and maintenance of student records; manage all aspects of the lottery process; informational support to staff, students, and parents
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Registration & Admissions
- Organize and oversee the lottery process
- Organize and maintain waitlist based on statutes and charter
- Organize and perform admissions and registration
- Review and compile student admission applications and related documents
- Meet with newly enrolled students and parents in person or on the phone to review forms and explain the enrollment and planning process
- Assist with the collection of all paperwork by responding to specific questions during the form completion process, and follow up on missing forms until file is complete
- Review, compile, and update student credentials needed for admissions status, and monitor progress of applicants
- Coordinate the preparation and distribution of school publications pertaining to admissions and enrollment
- Assist in all admissions special events such as meet the teacher night
- Communicate and cooperate with school guidance counselors and administration to assist students.
Record-Keeping
1. Develop and maintain recordkeeping systems and procedures
2. Coordinate academic information
3. Compile statistical information and prepare reports
4. Resolve problems regarding the management of student records
Other
1. May lead, guide, and train staff, students, interns, and volunteers performing related work
2. May coordinate the acceptance and receipt of fees
3. Provide administrative and counseling department support, which may include scheduling meetings and events, maintaining various office files, initiating and drafting correspondence, copying, data entry, and other related duties
4. Assume responsibility for his or her continuing professional growth and development by attendance at inservices or trainings
5. Seek assistance should emergencies arise
6. Represent the school district in a positive manner
7 .Know and follow school district policy and chain of command
8. Perform other duties as assigned
EVALUATION
Performance of this position will be evaluated annually by the Charter Administrator in conformance with federal and state law, administrative rules, and Board policy.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
This position shall be considered in all respects “employment at will”.
