LATEST NEWS:
Linden St and Ward Rd intersection closes tomorrow (1/5) to start roundabout construction

This is a reminder that the City of Caldwell will be closing the Linden Street and Ward Road intersection tomorrow, January 5, to start construction on a roundabout. Construction is expected to be completed spring 2026.

Construction has been phased to reduce the amount of time it is fully closed.

Here's what to expect:

January 2026

  • The intersection will be fully closed for a few weeks so crews can build a temporary bypass road connecting Linden Street west of the intersection to Ward Road.

Mid-January to early March 2026

  • The intersection will be partially reopened, and the bypass will be used. During this time, access between Ward Road and Linden Street will remain open from the west. Access to and from the east will not be available.

Early March to early April 2026

  • The intersection will need to be fully closed for about one month so crews can build the roundabout and complete major construction activities. There will be no route through the intersection during this time.
